I am borrowing a page from Mo, and her thread from a year ago... I thought this would be useful as a reference point, this time next year
1. My overarching goal is to continue culling and simplifying. I started this in August. I am starting to see the forest for the trees, and it has made me increasingly happy - and strangely - has reduced some anxiety I was feeling. I also like being able to get dressed in the morning without changing at least three times, or agonizing that I don't have the right outfit to wear.
My sub-goal of this is to wear everything at least once this coming year, and assess whether to keep it, donate, sell, gift.
I have several other reference points I currently use for this goal, that have helped keep me motivated:
This post, on the Recovering Shopholic site, about a woman who reduced her wardrobe by 55% in one go, and continues to streamline her wardrobe.
This same woman has a website of her own, the Yogastic Shopping Planner, that I refer to again and again.
Recovering Shopaholic and Grechen's Closet are on my must-reads in my quest to streamline.
And rounding out my list is our own Mo, who has a wonderful blog. I admit, I check every day hoping she has had the time to write another post
I am still keeping my goals from New Year's 2014:
2. To be impeccably groomed - hair cut and color, nails, mascara, lip gloss, and perfume. Even on the days that I work from home and don't go anywhere.
3. To keep my wardrobe in good condition, and visiting the tailor and the cobbler as needed. Cleaning and storing leather and fur properly, polishing shoes, mending small tears and replacing buttons, etc.
4. To stay true to my personal style, as outlined on my Pinterest boards.
5. Try and remember to do more WIW's, and track outfits that I wear in my Excel spreadsheet.
So how about you? Have you made any resolutions? What are they?
