I have been lurking for some time now and feel it is time to come out of the woodwork!

I am from the UK, happily married for many years, with three grown-up offspring and one teenaged grandchild.

A love of beauty and fashion doesn't stop as one grows older and so many of Angie's tips are directed towards the "Classics" amongst us that I feel she will not object to my being a member of her great website.

I make mistakes still but they are getting fewer, thanks to Angie and all of you here.

My question is: are there any other Seniors here?

Hi Eirlys. Yes, there are several seniors, and I'm one of them. Welcome to a great forum. You will find a lot of help and support here. I joined about four months ago, and am finding it helpful and lots of fun.

Glad you are joining in! I really look forward to your observations and experiences with style, dressing, life!

The more I learn, and the older u get, the more I am interested in "sustainable evolution " of style and wardrobe, and having some fun along the way. Stories about finally " completing" one's wardrobe or having all "10"s all the time don't resonate or
sound realistic for me.

But becoming a more critical and discerning shopper, and trying some new things, and letting go of some old things, and fitting the lifestyle I have ( including evolution there) sounds good.

I am interested in style goals challenges for" seniors" too, since I hope to become more senior myself( considering the alternatives, as has been noted before)! I deal with avlot of folks over 70 and 80 and beyond, , and I can see that some elements that I take for granted in my current style might not work later. I wonder how I will learn to let go of of those things and embrace something new. I hope I will have the wits and health to care, but not to fret!

So glad you're here! I'm 50, but I spend a lot of time in my mom's closet and know that style doesn't have an expiration date! There are many forum members older than I am, and I find great inspiration knowing that I don't need to start mourning my lost youth and can enjoy where I am today!

Ah, lots of room here for another senior with a love of fashion. It can be a bit challenging sometimes to figure out how to wear a current look on an older body, but between this forum and Angie's blog the whole process becomes fun instead of frustrating. And it's amusing to see the surprised looks I get from my fashion-loving DILs when I grab one of their fashion mags and opine on how cropped tops and fluid pants are trending for summer and fall. We might be old, but we don't have to be old fashioned

So glad you are de-lurking! Welcome. YLF is all about having fun with fashion at any age! I'm 55, and in the US, anyone over 50 is pushed to join AARP so yeah I'm a senior. Even though I haven't joined yet.

Welcome from another senior! I'm 60+ and am learning so much from this forum. Age is just a number on a piece of paper - I'm having more fun now with fashion than I had at any other time in my life, thanks to Angie and all the wonderful ladies on this forum.
