Any motorcyclists in the house?

There is often a lot of chat about moto-inspired pieces, but I was wondering if there are any lady riders in the house?

If so, I need your help! My much-beloved riding boots are on their way to the great swapmeet in the sky, and I am soliciting suggestions for replacements.

Requirements: shorter shaft (just above the ankle preferred), 2.5-3" heel (shorter, and my raiding pants all drag; longer, and I bump my pipes), real leather, preferably with safety elements (protected toe, steel plate in sole, etc), no obvious logoed badging (which means most Harley stuff is out).

I have a pair of Frye harness boots to get my through in the interim, but I don't prefer them for riding, interestingly.

Thanks in advance, if anyone has thoughts/ suggestions.

Just as a passenger. Hubs has two Indians. A little big for me to ride, and I kind of prefer letting him do the driving anyway.

The boot question is a good one though. I think Aida rides, but I haven't seen her around here in ages. I do know I would love a Belstaff jacket.

That much of a heel in legit motorcycle boots is a tall order. Most tend to be in the 1 to 1.5 range. I use Sidi Vertigo Leis for my track boots and TCX Airtechs for everyday riding. What boots are you looking to replace?

Icon used to make some but they seem to be done. There are a few pairs of the Hella boots on closeout on the regular sites. The look like the bare minimum for protection

Janet & Desmo, I'm a passenger (hence the pipe remark), so I don't need a toe layer for shifting. I'm replacing a pair of boots I've had for - literally - 15 years. They were a gift my my motorcycle-riding daddy, before he died. I tried to find a picture, but I can't find anything similar online (because: 15 years old).

I have really short legs, so I have to have a heel to wear my riding jeans or chaps (tried hemming them, and that was just a mess).

Fortunately, I'm in a relatively mild climate, so I don't need hardcore winter gear, but I *do* want to not drag my pants behind me when I'm not on the bike. I don't really care of they look motorcycle-y, and I'm not a fan of the styling on most boots (I'll let the fellas wear the moon boots).

Tall order, I know. If I have to wear moon boots and let the pants drag, I will . It's not my preference, but having been driven over once, I do want them to be satefy gear to some degree and not just about the fashion - but I would prefer they have a modicum of style. LOL

That actually opens up a lot of territory.

In all honesty Harley-Davidson might be your best bet. They seem to be the only company that addresses the needs of a passenger. Not all of them are super logo-ed up. I have a pair that I use sometimes and I don't have a Harley.

They are the Abriana.

Zappos has them but they are listing the heel height higher than H-D. Take a look at some of the others boots and check 6pm for cheaper prices.

When I was scouring around for boots this week I spotted a pair of ASH Motorcycle boots which were pretty nice, but much rougher than the ones above.

Yep, I was gonna say Harley, too. Definitely the sturdiest with the highest heels I've seen. (Not a rider, but used to be a passenger on my dad's bike).

So, update:
None of the HD boots fit comfortably over my high instep, and none of them have safety features, regardless. Booo.

I found a Joe Rocket pair with a decent hidden wedge, but the hubby vetoed it on the grounds that they're ugly and don't look like anything I'd wear any other time.

However, he did suggest Dr. Martens, which I have had great success with (I have 2 pairs that are almost 20 years old that I still wear, in the traditional 3- and 8-eye). I found these:

Which I am hoping will meet both the need to replace a pair of faux-suede knee-high boots and my riding needs. They have universally high reviews, cover the ankles without a bunch of geegaws that will hurt if I'm run over, and the heel that I need. Other options I'm keeping in the hopper as I ponder:
