I recently bought this dress:

and wanted a cropped sweater or jacket to wear over it. I tried red, but it seemed too Minnie Mouse to me, so I thought white or yellow might look nice. BUT, I'm having a heckuva time finding one.

Is it a case of 'you snooze, you lose'? Did I miss out on the right season for buying something like that?

I know some of you were talking about a cute shrug from Old Navy, so I rushed over there and they didn't have a single one in the store in any size or color.

I found a cropped white sweater at Target, but it's so thin that the dress totally shows through it.

I know I need a better quality sweater, but I feel like I've searched all over online and in a few stores, but I'm starting to feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, and am considering other options, like maybe a cropped white denim jacket? Any ideas where to find that? Most of the denim jackets I've seen right now are distressed, and I don't want that.

I'm starting to wonder if I should just return the dress since I still need to have it tailored and I don't do the whole bare arms thing, so I have to find a jacket or sweater. It seemed like such a bargain! I got it shipped for under $43. Now I'm realizing it may not be such a bargain...
