@citygirldc - Now THAT is a present any YLF'er would appreciate! A couple of years ago my hubby got me a dressform that I use all the time to work on outfit combos. One of my most favorite gifts ever!

I have to admit that I didn't get any gifts like that this year. BUT my mom got the twins these super cute little crocheted owl hats that a friend of hers made. They were my favorite gift, as I haven't seen anything just like them. Everywhere we go, people want to know where we got them. My mom got me an onion chopper and my SIL got me an asparagus pot. Sigh. DH and I didn't buy gifts for each other, as we decided to get a new TV for the bedroom instead. I looooove those Monet umbrellas.

Definitely! My family enjoys fun and unusual gifts.

B. got me a plush zombie doll with removable body parts. (Seriously!) But I was most touched by his gift of a multi-photo frame with some truly adorable pictures of us, both individually and together.

B. also gave my dad a miniature wooden catapult kit. He's a very thoughtful and creative gift-giver!

Among other things, I got B. a 2 liter glass beer boot, which he really got a kick out of.

I loooove shoes and am having a grand time reading about history and designers and the stories behind many shoes. I also found out from this book that there are shoe museums!
Have any of you who live in or have visited the Toronto area been to the Bata Shoe Museum? I may have to visit Canada.

Not specifically, AJ - I'm not zombie obsessed or anything, but B. knows that I think Shaun of the Dead is hilarious, and lately I've been listening to Jonathan Coulton a lot (one of his funniest songs is about zombies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjcH2UmK1uo) More or less, he thought it would be a very random and funny stocking stuffer for me to open!

My husband gave me a Kindle. I think he's trying to tell me that having two rooms full of books is enough Actually, I'm really enjoying how portable it is. Right now, I'm reading Jules Verne.
