Right now you're only going to find summer dresses on sale, since retailers are rolling out their new fall merchandise.

If you're going to a warm climate, I'd avoid anything too restrictive, like a dress that has a pencil skirt silhouette. Stick to an a-line skirt, something like this:

Check out the sale section of Nordstrom's and Neiman Marcus' websites, because I know they are having sales right now. Make sure you double check the fabric content and washing instructions--most of the dresses on those sites have some sort of silk content and/or are dry clean only, which a lot of SAHMs on this site like to avoid.
