I am a boots girl too. I wear my cowboy boots year round, despite warm days, I am usually in AC anyway. I also have a pair of linen cowboy boots for summer. When I am not in boots I prefer pumps over sandals. This let's me wear footpeds and I am not a fan of showing toes. Also my feet sweat a lot and the peds help with the sweat. In sandals I slosh around and get blisters. My other hot weather shoes, are Mary Jane's, they have lots of open skin, but still cover the heel and toes.
