If something is full price on the site now, when's a good rule of thumb for markdowns?

It really depends on the item. Some things I've been stalking have been full-price for several months now, others go on sale within weeks after coming out. In general, merchandise gets marked down on Mondays.

Mondays are definitely good days; I always check then. If it's sold out online, I call my store ASAP to see if they have any that can be placed on hold for me to pick up.

Markdowns are always on Monday, and things pop back with some regularity. First cut is often a whopping 50%, and second and third cuts often happen too. The shopping cart tracks price drops and popbacks so if you want to stalk something make sure you put it in the cart. You can also have the SAs order you something from another store if it's out of stock in your store. No shipping fee if that is done in store.

This blog is a good resource. They usually list all the new markdowns every Monday.

I usually shop at second cut, but you have to be online Monday AM to get the good second cuts. :3 if that helps.
