I didn't know this sale was going on when I headed out to Christmas-shop yesterday. I idly went into Anthro just to see if anything caught my eye. THE SALE DID!
I found three items I'd been yearning for for some time, but when I tried to pay for them I learned there was a daily limit on my debit card transactions. (Really? At Christmas time??) so I put them on hold and resolved to come back later in the evening with my boyfriend's debit card and pay him back today.
Well, when I returned for my holds (and stood in that awful line for the second time that day...took about 30 minutes, no joke) the overworked staff had somehow lost them! They never made it into the hold closet! TRAGEDY!!! I stayed calm and nice and worked with a manager to round up what I could of my original items from the stock room. The trousers and dress I loved were still there, but the perfect blouse -- a solid color, not a print, cut just right for my huge boobs -- was gone for all eternity. Alas!!
To make up for the inconvenience, the totally awesome manager gave me a very generous 70% off!! So long story short, I got my two pieces for about $25 each, and both originally retailed for about $230. Woot!!
I love Anthropologie. They may be expensive right off the rack, but nobody knows how to do a sale like those guys.
