Another Zara jacket

Quick post from Zara dressing room. Should I take it home? Please ignore the outfit, this is what I just put together in the shop, not how I would wear it.

ETA - I took it home and quickly tried it on. Not sure if it is keeper, husband does not like it, says that I look like a soldier in it.

Got nothin' to say but that's really pretty. I like the fit, too. Nice way to reference trendy yellow.

eta: oohh, hadn't noticed at first the background menswear plaid. Well now I like it even more.

I like it! I think the fit in the hip and waist looks great, but I’m wondering if it might be a bit snug in the bust and shoulders - how does it feel?
ETA - my eyes are very skewed by oversized fits these days, just so you know!

I love it. Looks like a Dries Van Noten knockoff . Fit is off though ,as PP said. Just a touch snug.

I just tried it again to double check the shoulder fit. It is not snug at all in the shoulders and it feels really comfortable. It is great fitting from the back too. But bust area is another story. It fits very differently then on model. I did not realize that it should overlap until I saw the picture on Zara website. Hm...

Suz - I did try size up but it was too big everywhere with too long sleeves. This one does not fit snug at all, but it just doesn't have enough room in the bust area. It seems that it is cut for someone more flat chested.

I think it does have that stiff military/uniform feel about it, despite the colors. And the colors don't seem to brighten you up. I would pass unless you are totally in love with it and will do anything to make it "work".

Mel - I haven't made my mind about jacket yet. I wear blazer every day and have a large collection. But they are mostly classic shape blazers, and I have them in every possible neutral color, plus some favorite colors and patterns. For this winter I wanted to try some different silhouettes to have more variety. But it does not have to be this jacket.

Cardiff girl - this one is little bit more difficult to style. Except over column of black, and maybe with a yellow top, and black bottom, don't have more ideas. Maybe with the jeans? Not sure about proportions over a dress or skirt? But If I have 2-3 good outfits it does not have to go with everything. Especially because it is quite memorable.

I genuinely like it a lot. Having said this, I would say pass on it because from what I can see, the colors do not seem to do you justice. If the colors do work for you, all the better.

On the model it's what I call a Hilary jacket, aka Hilary Clinton.

On you I like the curvy effect and the color and pattern, but something just feels off and I'm not sure what. Maybe it needs boyfriend jeans or wide leg pants or something. I do like how it nips in your waist and accentuates your bust. Love the collar too.

I'd do it over a column of white. Can you try it with white jeans?

And YES try it with a dress please! I'd totally wear this over a black sheath dress, but open not closed.

I like it lots better on you than the model. When it's looser like she's wearing it, it reminds of something Scarlett O'Hara could have run up from the drapes. I think the severe "military fit" is what gives it presence.

I like it but maybe feel that it needs to be softened by some wide white pants, or a flowy chiffon skirt? Something that would make you feel “up” to the jacket? Not sure how to express it except you didn’t look quite comfortable in your photos. So can you try it with just about every type bottom you can, slacks of every shape and length, jeans, skirts of various fabrications and shapes? If you feel fab in any of these combos, you have a winner!
