I've been so busy the last few weeks I can barely keep up. I still have more shopping to do for the three weddings. Although I was able to make it to the Stanford and Valley Fair stores, I ended up only buying online. This turned out to be an opportunity to get practical items. But hey, I did just buy those cashmere sweaters in Paris. I'm happy.

I bought two black dresses and returned them. The Boss dress looked like it would suit me and is a nice dress, but more for work and it was too big. I don't think the fit would have worked in a smaller size. I also returned the Gautier dress reluctantly. It was too tight on the bottom half and a photo of the rear view convinced me that the ruching would been unflattering to my body shape even in a larger size.

I bought some Aquitalia boots in 10 1/2 and I think I will keep them even though they seem a bit large. I'll wear them with some padding and heavy socks in winter and I like the soles--I always worry about slipping on my son's driveway--Chicago suburb. And if El NiƱo shows up I'll be prepared for rain.

I bought the Nik+Zoe tank in opal blue but hesitated too long to get it in bone. I also bought a long-sleeved Nik+Zoe top and wore it to a party Saturday night. I think it would look better with different bottoms, but I'd already tried and rejected 3 different outfits and it was getting late. Blurry mirror photo.

Also the Leith Moto in animal print as a fun piece to slake my passion for animal prints. If I wanted to wear it over sweaters I would have exchanged it for an L instead of my usual M, but I'll mainly wear it over a tee.

Munro shoes Fran same style different color to comfortable pair I bought last year's NAS in animal print. I'm wearing them in the photo but you can't see the print.

Every year I buy a new pair of Zella yoga pants, a pair of Paige jeans, and a bra or two. This year they didn't have Le Mystere in the color I wanted so I just got the Chantelle.
