The surgery went well (thankfully!). DH is in a little pain, but no fever/infection this time and no late-night post-surgery emergency trips to the hospital like last time. What a relief.
Thank you all for your love, support, prayers, and good wishes. The past 14 months have been a real trial for us health wise. I haven't always posted when my husband has more surgeries/problems because I don't want to focus on just this aspect of our lives. We are really trying to move ahead with normal life as much as possible, but he had such a bad outcome after his last surgery in February that I felt the need to ask for support this time around.
We had a long talk with the surgeon after the operation Tuesday, and it looks like there are more surgeries ahead before DH's problems are completely resolved. I may or may not post about it....but I really appreciate knowing that I can ask for YLF support as we soldier on.
