So I'm still thinking about summer bags... After my last post, I decided that I like the Fossil Preston Crossbody, and that seemed like the favorite here as well. After reading a bunch of reviews, I think it won't actually fit an ipad but I am OK with that (I can always use my larger work bags or my black crossbody if I need to carry the ipad). But the more I think about it, the more I think the pale greyish blue color I originally picked won't work for me as a summer bag (it might work for winter though...). In the summer, I wear warmer shades and lots of brights, and show a lot of skin. Very pale, cool colors don't always work with this palette. My old bag was a yellowish straw, which went with everything and matched my skin tone.

Anyway, I discovered the preston also comes in both a yellowish straw version and a camel leather. I think both of these will work for me. The straw is lighter toned, and more summery, but the leather is probably more durable and can be used in other seasons as well. Which do you prefer?
