The last two evenings I have gone shopping to try on a number of various items, including the three I'm looking to replace (black blazer, pencil skirt and simple frock). I thought I wanted to move past drape but I found NOTHING in stores that fit my petite apple body better than the Eileen Fisher items I already possess. I know EF is cut too generously for many, but for my current figure/shape, that cut works brilliantly.
So now I'm thinking of how to make EF work for my style going forward. Specifically, I was wanting less black/more color, structure, hints of boho/Parisian chic/retro. If I were to choose EF pieces in white and blue, that would add color. If I were able to find a couple of blazers locally that worked, that could be my structure. Hints of boho could be found with footwear and handbags locally, as well as hints of retro through jewelry/accessories. And maybe I can replace my black EF draped front dress which is positively raggedy due to love and wear with a duplicate? That dress fit me perfectly and worked so well with so many things.
So I guess I'm wondering if I can find less voluminous EF pieces with lighter colors that could combine my love of the EF comfort and fit, and still move into my new style moniker of Sophisticated Fun???
Would absolutely love your feedback on my ramblings
