Thank you everyone!
Karen - I am doing pretty well! My mobility is mostly back to what it was (very important in NYC). My hip and SI joint are much less tight. I still have some pain in the original area where the problem started (kind of my upper glute, on one side), but it's minimal and the PT believes it will fade as I get stronger. My insurance cut off my PT visits! (Jerks!) But I am at the point where my recovery is mostly due to the exercises I do on my own at home, anyway. I'm very diligent.
Smittie, Angie is correct that the sleeves would be hard to layer over. The fabric is a medium thickness, so I'm thinking of this as a shoulder season dress - given that my office is cool, I can probably wear it once temps drop out of the high summer we're still having, but still warm enough to go without a coat. I will have to see if I can get the sleeves under any of my coats or jackets. Too many dresses, even for cooler weather, have no sleeves, and Boden is always my go-to if I do want something with a sleeve.
Angie, yes, evolved. I guess that's what I was getting at when discussing the colors. Thanks!
