Angie's post about her sad Ferragamo shoe story prompted me to tell my own sad tale, and unfortunately after last weekend I have two to tell

Sad story #1: First up, the Sam Edelman silver toed flats I purchased at Nordstrom Rack during the Boston meetup. These shoes are falling apart, and I have only worn them for about 2 months (I didn't wear them for most of May when I had my foot surgery). As you can see from pic #1, the beaded fabric is falling apart on the right shoe, and there is a bad worn spot near the heel, soon to be a hole (pic #2). As these shoes were not cheap, and this shouldn't happen after 2 months, I e-mailed Nordstrom Rack (no response) and Sam Edelman Customer Service. SE said I can ship the shoes to them, and they will decide if it's their fault or mine. Regardless, I pay all shipping fees.

Sad story #2: I purchased these shoes at DSW. I wore them twice - that's it - for a few hours to a rehearsal dinner, and then to the wedding the next day. The undersides of these are completely falling apart. At first I thought it was dog poo, but it isn't - the black soles are shredding exposing the brown material underneath. You'd think I had scraped these on a bed of nails or something! These weren't expensive, but I expected to get more than two wears out of them! I am taking them back to DSW tomorrow to try and get either a new pair or better yet, a refund.

So one somewhat expensive pair, and one not so expensive pair, and both are junk. Trust me, I am not hard on shoes!
