Another Nordie's plug

I never was a Nordstroms shopper until YLF. There was never one close to me and the thought didn't occur to me to order from a department store online...but so glad I am a convert!
Anyway, I had an online return which they never received. I emailed them today to follow up on the order and though they didn't actually get my return package they still credited my account- just like that. Super easy, no hassle and they just wooed me. (Unlike the sour faces at BR or Gap if I make an online return in the store. I feel like I need to approach them bowing with eyes averted.)
They will be easily taking back my $70 plus probably a few hundred more very soon.

Now, how do I get myself on the anniversary catalog list?

I think you can just go to their website and sign up there. I'm not sure if I did that or they just started sending them to me because I ordered off the internet.

doubleh, that is a great story. I have had a very similar experience. I ordered some boots last year that did not fit me. So I had to return them, but I dawdled over the return for quite a while. Then, after I finally sent it -- it never got to them. And my account was (reasonably) not credited.

I phoned them up to check on it. Fortunately I did have the tracking number and they could easily see that I had sent the package. Well, that's all they needed to credit my account immediately and apologize profusely.

They have also given me numerous price adjustments without the bat of an eyelash.

If I didn't have the cross-border shopping issue, I doubt I would ever shop anywhere else!

If you get a Nordstrom card I think you are on the list automatically? You also get to take advantage of the presale then.

Great story. I have always found Nordstrom's friendly and helpful about returns and other things too. The SAs in the shoe department really know their stuff. They have also been great about sending gifts I buy to out of state addresses and providing me with the tracking number.

I am so glad that you found Nordies to be so helpful...I have always been doubly impressed with this store...To the point that I look there first before buying something..Good ending..glad for you..
