Another New Dress : Wedding Possibiity?

Hi Lovely Ladies,

I returned the somewhat weird patterned blue dress and am good to go with the other dress in that post for the wedding next weekend.

But upon returning said blue dress, I found this dress. I am normally very sensitive about horizontal stripes of patterns as I find they often make me look bigger than I am, however I felt this one worked quite well.

No great effort styling here but popped on a skinny belt in #1, a wider belt with flower in #2 (thinking for the wedding) and jacket and pearls in #3. #4 is a close up of the fabric as I struggled to photograph this well.

#5 is just a reminder of the outfit I decided with your help is what I will wear to the wedding (as long as I don't change my mind) lol

I have to admit I kind off love this dress, but I am very keen for your feedback.

The black and white pattern is challenging to photograph and I don't feel these pictures really capture how lovely the dress is IRL.

Ps... The right bra and some shape wear will lift and firm where necessary

Oh! I really like the new dress, especially with the jacket. I also like the wide belt best.

Not sure if I posted on the other thread, but I do really like the dress you are already planning to wear - especially with the red accents. Lovely!

This new dress is also nice, however, so I can see how you may have difficulty choosing. My favorite combo with the new dress is in #2 - the wider belt echoes the band on the bottom and the handbag is an excellent compliment. I am not a fan of it with the jacket as much - it feels a little too traditional, and not the typical "Deb" outfit that is classic with an extra bold touch for panache!

I like version 2 with the wider belt. It just tweaks it a little. Hope you have a great time!

I like this dress a whole lot better than the polkadot one. I like it best in 2 for the wedding, with the jacket for work. I still like the original contender (so no help here)

I love 2! For some reason I prefer the thicker belt. Looks like a great dress! The jacket in 3 definitely works as a cover up, if you need to wear a jacket.

I still prefer your original dress for the wedding for some reason. But I do like the new one with the thicker belt, and I believe you when you say the photos don't quite do it justice. Sometimes pictures are like that, especially with B&W print.

I do love the outfit you had already chosen, but to my eye, #2 with the wider belt is the best accessorizing of the new striped dress.

Wonderful dress, Deborah. I like it's layering possibilities (you started this exploration with your jacket) and it must be very comfortable, in addition to fab. Wider belt is best.

Oh....and have you ever tried deep purple, claret (cordovan red), teal or cobalt with black and white?

I love the new dress! It's perfect for your style. I would wear the other dress to the wedding still though. Something about the stripes reads a little sporty to me (but that' not a bad thing).

I like the new dress on you but my vote is still the orginal in number 5.

This new dress is very chic, too. The stripe pattern is what makes it stand out; the look reminds me of St. John, rich and classic. It looks great all the ways you've styled it, #2 being my favorite.
I love dress #4 on you best of all here, for its super flattering line and its spunk. Your styling with the red necklace and pumps is perfect.

The stripe dress is lovely with the bow belt, but I prefer #5 for the wedding. It just has a more formal look I think.

Another Angie ditto here. I love the black and white stripes (you knew I would!) and would vote it as a keep if that's a possibility. But I think you should stick with the original dress for the wedding.

Christy it's not either or, so the new dress has a spot in my wardrobe too. I think it will be good for Spring and can function as a work and non-work dress.

#5 is now absolutely locked in as my dress for the wedding... thank you.
