Another MOTG outfit?

How is this for MOTG outfit?

It is a bit out of my comfort zone because the tunic/dress is more glam than I'm used too due to metalic threads + I havn't figured out a great way to wear tights.

Styling suggestions are very welcome, as well as suggestions for how to wear this (if possible) at other occations

Looks wonderful! So is it a black tunic shot with metallic threads? What a fun piece!

I've only recently got used to daytime sparkle, and when I wear items that are sparkly I tend to pair them with darker colors to tone down the shine the way you did here.

Thank you, Kari! So nice to hear that you like this I like what you say about dressing down daytime sparkle. I don't want to get associations with decorated christmas trees or diva glam vibe, because that is *not* me.

I got this tunic 50% off. Ruffles are also out of my comfort zone, but thought the ruffles going down on the left side could have a forgiving effect. I like that it has a cap sleeve

Harmonica I would wear this! Because it's black and ruffle is to the side, it's quite subtle.
Are you wearing tights or leggings? You could try shorter leggings as another option for a warmer day. You could also try it over a very slim straight leg pant and heels to dress it up. Whatever you do I would keep it simple. It looks great:)

I like the dress, which is saying a lot, as I'm not big on ruffles. I like the idea of capri-length leggings, maybe something plainer than the ones you are wearing here.

Ruffles are usually not my thing either, but I thought this might work. I am wearing leggings, not tights. Good idea to have shorter leggings for warmer weather and slim pants too! That didn't cross my mind. Would you stick to black / dark blue or other another colour for pants?

I would keep the legs as plain and simple as possible, so black leggings would be good. You have a dress that's making a statement, shoes that are making a statement, and that's probably enough talking for any one outfit.

Having said that, a short, brightly coloured necklace, if you're comfortable with that kind of thing, might work well with this outfit. I love black outfits, but I think they so often really take off once you add a small punch of colour somewhere.

The tunic is great. I agree with the others that mid-calf, black leggings would be better. I find that with my own outfits, the longer length leggings often look mismatched with more summery dresses. They seem like winter wear paired with summer wear. Whereas cropped leggings look just right.

First of all, well done for stepping out of your comfort zone; it paid off. The dress works and the ruffle gives it visual interest and draws the eye up and down which is flattering. However, I find the leggings distracting. You are young and fit - show some leg, for goodness sake! How about no leggings and bright flip flops, sandals or flats for a casual MOTG outfit?

If leggings are a must, I would be interested in seeing shorter leggings, perhaps white or bright for a more summery look. (Careful though that it doesn't look choppy and give the illusion of a shorter leg).

Nice dress! I love ruffles and it looks great on you! How about some red cropped leggings to break up that long expanse of black? The leggings you have go all the way down to the ankle and with the high ankled black sandals, it just feels a little too heavy for my tastes. You've got great legs, show a little skin!

Thank you for the great advice! I'll work with shorter leggings, also with a pop of colour (great advice!!) and other shoes. I have tangerinish ballerinas that might work, as well as canvas shoes. Often I need *something* to keep me comfortable due to the cool temp here, even at summer time.

Now it's off to the mountains!

Hi Harmonica -- I have an outfit very similar to this and what I do, for the summer, is wear cropped leggings and sandals to lighten things up. That would be my suggestion. I like it as you have styled it as well, it feels right for cooler weather with the jeans, but maybe add some colorful accessory to break up the head to almost toe black?

Another idea for summer is to pair this tunic with white jeans (long or cropped).
