Hi everyone and happy New Year!

Inge's recent post reminded me to ask your advice on a Matt and Nat bag.

I saw them at Nordies several months ago, and now that they are going on sale online, I'm tempted to try one. I'm looking for a long wearing and light bag that can be used across several seasons. I'd really like a cream, but Matt and Nat don't make one. I liked the grey, but can it be used in spring? I'm not big on black bags, but I'm open to changing my mind. I like reds, but they are not on sale yet (I can wait, though).

I'm weirdly attracted to the Portishead style.

The design is very peculiar - you can access the main compartment from both sides. And I can't seem to resist these kooky shapes. I have a short torso, so while I also like the Avril (the style Inge picked), I probably need something less tall. The Portishead fit very well under my arm. There's also the Hamburg http://www.mattandnat.com/product/display/652

A part of me is attracted to the edgy tougher look and feel of these bags. But I also feel like they would wear me and not the other way around. Maybe I'm just not used to the zippers and bolts, I don't know. I know it's hard to tell without a picture.

Do you guys think they will contrast well with feminine pieces? Can they be worn with Doc Martens or is it too much?
