Another JCrew Inspired WIW - White, Brown, and Black Accents

Hello.

Today I was inspired by another JCrew outfit today (photo #5), this time white, brown, and black accents.

I have the same white chino shorts as the model so I began there, mine are from last season but they are still available. I added a brown cotton gauze Rails button-up shirt. The same accessories from yesterday's outfit (here) rounded out the outfit, black Hermes belt, black slip on Ecco sneakers, and Positano strawbag.

Great combo! I do like pairing various shades of browns with white. I wear a few summer brights but often with more murky colors like gray or slate blue, because white with brights on me often looks too much like a Talbots catalog. ( Talbots actually can have some nice items but seldom in my near- neutrals; a bit better if one has warm coloring because of khakis & olive). I default to white with black some because it’s easy to find, but browns are great.

Inge - I also really enjoy how well brown and white pair together, crisp is a great way to describe the combination. And yes, the summer season is the perfect time to use this Positano bag as often as I can!

unfrumped - *high five for brown and white* Grey or slate blue sound lovely for summer. They are a refreshing change from all the bright bold colors I often see (and struggle to wear) in summer collections.

Suz - Fresh and rich are excellent descriptions for the brown and white pairing. It's a refreshing neutrals based combination that's a nice change of pace compared to all the brighter, bolder colorful combinations I often see in summer collections.
