C1, I like the neutrals with them as well. I think gray will also be right up my alley, but I'll have to wait til I finish the Fall closet switch-over.
Sally, thanks for the input on shoes. I'm so glad you think they work with non-booties. I'm not totally sold on 5 either. I think the proportions are a bit off?

Suzanne, you tipped the scale! Literally right after I saw your post this morning, I did a reserve-in-store:-). I'll have to go back to look at the leg opening on yours. Mine do feel like a slim straight more than a pegged leg. When I take them off, I'll measure the opening so you can compare.
