I'm removing 2 of the 3 (who were these people anyway?) ovens in my small kitchen and having them replaced with a pantry cupboard.

The whole thing really needs an overhaul but I can't do that right now.

I am going to have the new pantry and the old cherry cabinets repainted white (well actually the palest of lavender, like Farrow & Ball Great White). I might redo the backsplash with tiles in pink and purple (the samples are on the counter in this pic.)

Here's my question: I want to replace the drawer pulls and cabinet handles with something more modern, that isn't just off-the-shelf Home Depot stuff. Do any of you have recommendations on good places you've sourced pulls and handles in the past?

I'm fine with online, but don't want to order a ton of stuff and have to send it back because it's junky.

That's funny, our kitchen has a very similar layout and indeed we have a pantry where you have the double wall ovens. Effective!

I second the recommendation for Rejuvenation. We've put their knobs/pulls in two kitchens now and like them a lot.

I will say that I don't like the backplates that you can add behind the knobs -- they have sharp edges and I am constantly nicking up my fingers on them. They're sold separately so skip the extra expense!

I don't have any recommendations for pulls but the kitchen will look gorgeous with your overhaul.
I have some friends who cook a lot and have two ovens. And two dishwashers. Now the dishwashers I can understand.

Just a thought, don't toss the bolts or screws that are in the cabinets and drawers now. Depending on the thickness of the wood
you may need them. I redid my kitchen years ago and the new hardware had shorter fasteners. I just reused the old with the new cabinet and drawer pulls, you couldn't see them anyway.

I'm following along! We will have NO HANDLES in our new kitchen -- a strong preference of my husband's, as we are going for a very clean, contemporary feel -- but I'm sourcing new door handles for the rest of our house and want something modern. New handles and knobs can really make a big difference.

The thing with no handles -- and I agree that the clean look is really nice -- is that the cabinets would get smudged up more easily. I suppose whether that is a problem depends on the color and finish. And maybe also what you cook with (spices, oils, etc.)
