Was not the plan today but wound up near the Burberry concept store downtown and DH agreed to come in and take a quick look with me. This is the only coat I tried on. I was told it's new and not available online.
I was drawn to it because it was similar to the one I tried on yesterday, but with black buttons spaced closer together, and the collar seemed different/not as tall, and no back vent like the other one. This one has no liner or hood, though that can be added. It's also a size larger than the other one, not that it matters. Just saying this style is designed to be more slim fitting so I had to size up.
The SA went to great detail about how it could be altered to fit perfectly. For example raising the belt -- as shown in this pics. And yes this one would need the arms shortened. Also he said they can steam the collar to get it to lay flatter, as shown here, I prefer it splayed more rather than standing up. He didn't show me any others because he said this one (with some tweaks) was "it." I didn't buy it -- took pics and said I had to go home and think about it.
So.... what is the YLF ruling on this one?
