New Nordies house brand 1901 is preppy. Competes with J.Crew and Boden. This frock is the bomb if you like to define your waist, cover your arms, and wear volume on the bottom. Quite affordable at $83. WELL MADE. Comes in 5 colours. VERY pretty.

Clients across a range of sizes loved it too - as long as they liked to showcase their waist.

The navy is mine. I wore it out to a belated birthday supper last night - pics included. Finished off the look with new birthday Furla, pearls, and fun lemon mules that I got in Italy last week. Go Team Wear.

Suz, you're a honey-pie. I loved the plaid, stripe and red too. But the navy looked best in the style on my body to my eye. Most versatile across the seasons. The plaid is a seersucker - GORGEOUS fabric. The red is bright. Not a blue red.

Side note: I own a very old dress that is similar but not quite as perfect as this one that I’ve been wearing lately. I even unbuttoned it from the waist down and wore it over cropped white jeans one day. It’s a timeless piece.

I adore this! A perfect dress for many occasions! I will likely try the petite version though due to length but will want to be careful with the waist position. The 1901 brand appeals to me, like old J. Crew which has taken a nose dive.

Muffin, YES. 1901 has taken over from where J.Crew used to be. Trying to be Boden. Length in a regular is easy to hem.

Tanya, runs TTS. This is a US0 and fits well. Tailored but with ease - just how I like it. Waist is in the right position for me. A little higher than my belly button. You'd have to check it out.

Augh! As I wrote before, thought I was done ordering. But since you are raving about this dress (which I had previously rejected), I ordered the gray plaid as a *wild card* silhouette. This would have been a slam dunk for me decades ago (as in three or four) when I had a 24" waist, but now I'm not so sure. If none of my toppers work with the dress, it will have to go back. Same with shoes.

I have several 1901 items: I bought the white crops below at full price and bought a duplicate pair when they went on sale. Best ever and run true to size. I had to size up from XS to M in the tee shirt even though it is a regular size. It is super long to would be great on a tall person.
