Another 90's trend that I am looking at

Dear YLF,

I am not shopping but that doesn't mean that I am not looking at things online. The latest thing that caught my eye is the very 90's(at least for me) 2 piece linen set of cropped top and pants.
Once upon a time I had a couple of them and I am seriously considering one for this summer, just wondering if I should get the full length pant or cropped.
What say you about this trend and what kind of pant/color would you choose?

YES, Celia. I wore these looks back in the '90s too. FABULOUS for hot weather. A two-piece jumpsuit. Good on your pretty shoulders.

I wore the first look in beige......light blue would have been sooo much better

Today, I'd wear the look in white or blue.

I love this too! I'd wear the blue set in a heartbeat. The longer, wider leg looks elegant but still easy to wear.

I am fond of the yellow but wonder whether it has a greenish tinge. I like both lengths; ankle baring would be cooler.

Angie, I had one like the blue but in beige and another one with cropped straight pants in bubble gum pink. For total 90's personal serendipity I am just waiting for short sleeve belted safari jackets and matching pants in linen

Yep, I had something like these but not in linen. Fun and cool for what will probably be a hotter than ever summer. I like both but I'm drawn to the second one.

I have always liked this look. You need both. The blue and a cropped light neutral. It makes outfit creation really easy and is great for travel. I also like a jacket in the same color or neutral. The outfit can be a column on the outside with a different color or a print top. A matching skirt adds even more options. This is a great formula for anyone who needs clothes for a first job.

I love this look. I never had anything like it. I much prefer the blue. I have a preference for full length trousers over cropped. The full length looks fresh because there are so many cropped items in stores.

They both look so good it's hard to pick! I'd say try them both. Blue feels more fresh, but the oatmeal is timeless.

I like the both and also think you can justify both :).
Would wear them myself IF I were more 'at peace with the crease'. If you get them, do report on how well they hold up!

Love this look, and love both colours, with a preference for the cropped version - but I do have a cropped pants problem and always have, so take that with a grain of salt
