Angie's post about white shoe soles made me spot a new form of laziness in myself. As in, "could not be troubled to do the work of keeping my shoe soles looking clean."

It's right up there with "could not be bothered to match my top and bottom undergarments," and "procrastinate mightily on taking items to the tailor."

On the other hand, I'm extremely fussy about lint and will work quite hard to eliminate it from any garment.

What are you lazy about/ fussy about in your wardrobe?

I'm lazy about refreshing my sleepwear collection. I was realizing that I'm still wearing sleep shorts I bought myself when I cleared out my old worn-out stuff from my lingerie and sleepwear drawer, in "celebration" of my hysterectomy. That was six years ago! I bought one new pair yesterday. If they end up being super comfortable and launder well, I'll spring for another pair.

Oh, and I'm lazy about ironing. I don't mind doing it, if I'm already in that mode, but it takes me forever to get around to it. I've learned not to buy things that need to be ironed.

I'm fussy about a lot of things in my wardrobe, if I'm being totally honest. I do all the laundry.

I have two coats with buttons stowed in pockets to be sewn on, and don’t get me started about my aversion to ironing. But, my closet is super tidy, with hangers spaced equal distance. I’m a tidy mess!

My laziness is polishing leather shoes and boots. I'm so lazy I'm almost embarrassed to admit to it. I have been staring at my black ankle boots for weeks, telling myself I'll give them a good polish tomorrow. And yet here I am and they're as dull and scuffed as ever! .

I'm fussy about lint too. And I'm fussy about stains. I threw out a top recently because there were a couple of light marks on it that I couldn't get out. My boyfriend assured me that no one in the world but me would notice, but I just couldn't get past it.

I'm also fussy about stains - it's hard for me to keep something that is stained.

I've gotten lazy about ironing, which actually makes me sad. I used to love ironing for an afternoon while watching an old movie, but those days are gone. I don't even have a full-size ironing board anymore! Just a little table top one like you might have had in college, and I only rarely drag it out and set it up.

Stains bother me as well,l like things to be ironed when I put them on but am not so bothered if they crease with wear and I am lazy about shoe polishing.l m also not great at clearing out my kit bag as often as I should.

So, so lazy about ironing. Oh and also taking stuff to the tailor for alterations/repairs, even though there is one a 2 minute walk away from home!

Lazy - sewing buttons and all small repairs in general. Feels ashamed to take to the tailor (after all I can do it!) but then she' s too lazy to do it. Today I am wearing an old raincoat that lacks a button since ... better not to say. The button has not been lost, it's there, in the sewing box. I continue promising myself that "this weekend" I will attach it.

Fussy - non ironed clothes, pilled pullovers, stains, lint.

Funny story: some years ago one morning I was in a hurry, I quickly wore my blue woolen coat and out I went. Much to my horror when I arrived to my workplace I noticed that the coat was covered with cat's hair! Instead of hanging the coat the day before (lazy!) I had thrown it on the sofa and my cat probably had slept on it all night.

yeah, I am right there with Viva. Fussy about stains, but too lazy to try different methods. I just stick them over and over in the laundry. If they don't come out clean, they gotta go.
Lazy about ironing - won't do it.

I am good at making small repairs, sewing buttons, etc. though. I like cleaning and polishing shoes, too. I like that part of the manual work.

Fussy: Crisply ironed woven items.
Lazy: Ironing. (Like Janet, I don't mind doing it when I'm doing it, it just takes me forever to decide to do it and put it in my schedule!)

Fussy: hemmed items, items all in good working order.
Lazy: scheduling time to take clothes to seamstress and repair person.

As for lint -- in my case that is such a lost cause, I don't even notice it any more. My main neutral is navy; my cat is creamy off-white. You can imagine.

I'm fussy, controlling, and anal about just about everything. It's stress relieving for me, and a mental coping strategy. I straighten cushions and pillows Sam jumps on all day long......*SIGH*.

Lazy about polishing shoes. I used to not be and blame it on additional step that has been added since we moved. It wanting to get polish on white carpets and not moving any rags, I need to find a designated cloth or towel to lay down under the shoes I am working on. My polish box also needs to be very handy so I don’t need a step stool to get it.
Fussy- pilling and laundry.

Angie, I’m right there with you! LOL I straighten the pillows on our sofa, and one (or more) of the dogs immediately goes and pushes them around until the pillows are on the floor. Too funny.

Joy - you just reminded/guilted me. My winter shoes badly need polish, and as we are having endless winter, they cont8nue to get a Loy of wear.

I’m not sure it is lazy as much as frugal! But workout and loungewear are the rattiest things - frayed necks, Compression shorts! 3 sizes too big, etc. I mostly work out at home and the fam doesn’t judge (out loud). I’m in awe of those of you with coordinated capsules of these.

I have OCD issues with stains/spots.

Had to laugh at this. I actually looked down , REALLY looked down, at the Stan Smith sneakers I was wearing last week (white, of course) while shopping and was so horrified at how unpristine they were that I went into the nearest shoe store and bought a pair of white leather Converse and wore them right out of the store. I CANNOT with worn and dirty shoes.

Lazy with sleepwear and underwear. I never think to buy new and dislike spending $ on that stuff. And with my desk - it's always a mess.

I have "ironing day" once a season! Also lazy about cleaning and repairing shoes, polishing and repairing jewelry.

Fussy about:
The contents of my purse. I change purses frequently and keep the contents in neat little pouches so I can grab what I need easily.

Hand-washing, which I do every few days, taking very tender care of my knitwear and bras, which are always air-drying about the house.

Makeup. I replace mascara every 3 months, replace the other things every year, and wash the brushes regularly.

When I clean the house, I put all the dog toys in a basket so I can vacuum. I haven’t even put the vacuum away before they take them all out again. And one of them likes to “kill” them, so there are bits of fluff all over the place, too. Here’s a completely dead one.

Lazy: ironing. Things will straighten out when worn
Fussy: shoe polishing. I do that only once or twice a season but when my shoes get dirty I clean them immediately. Stains on anything really is not something I bear well (alas with a young child...)

I’m lazy about everything. Stains, missing buttons, pulled threads, tailoring, polishing shoes... all go into a never touched ‘to do’ basket. Lol. I’ll iron dress clothes tho.

Fussy: purging - which actually ties in to laziness because I want to efficiently find the clothing I’m looking for - not wade through a bunch of stuff to get it

Lazy about: Bags. I buy one about every 5 years or even less often and carry that one daily until I can't stand it any more or it looks awful. The can't stand it takes longer because I'm lazy about caring about my purse. (That said, it's time now and I want a new one.)

Fussy about: Jewelry. I want all of it, think hard about putting it with outfits, sometimes decide what jewelry I want to wear and then make the clothes choice match that instead of the other way around, and want to wear different pieces every day.

Dh says I'm the most disciplined person he knows. Utter rubbish!

Lazy-my yard, it needs profe$$ional intervention :p
Ironing- I'm the toss in the dryer with a wet rag sort.
Paperwork-I procrastinate it.
Everything when I'm super busy, or its cold, or I'm unmotivated...

Fussy-getting everything "back to zero" on Sundays: house tidied, week of outfits made up, laundry, cooking, etc, etc. Lint (cause animals) I lint roll obsessively! Calorie tracking-its a royal pain but so is replacing clothes. Makeup-essential when leaving the house. Shower and leg shaving-essential even when not leaving the house! Hair-has to be tamed into submission, especially with humidity (then panic that I left the flat iron plugged in when I go out).
