Ann Taylor sizing

I have a couple of fab blouses sitting in my AT shopping bag, but I'm unsure of AT sizing lately. (It's been a while since I bought anything there.) I recently bought a Loft shirt in small...and I'm wondering if the Loft sizing is the same as the regular AT.

Anyone with recent Ann Taylor shopping experience want to weigh in?

Ann Taylor is more fitted than Loft and the sizing runs smaller.

My experience is the same as Reneeb. Sizes not as generous as elsewhere.

Thanks so much for the advice, Deb and Reneeb. I've been trying to decide between a size 4 and a size 6, so now I will definitely go with the 6.

I have worked for Ann Taylor and LOFT, I say they both run generous...size down.

I've find AT sizing to be consistently true to size for bottoms but I size up for tops.

I size up on their tops because of bust/wide shoulders. I size down on most of the bottoms at Loft compared to AT.

Wow. Thanks for all the opinions. I've dawdled on this so long one of the blouses is now sold out. I have somewhat broad shoulders, so the size 6 in the remaining one is probably the right size for me. That said, I might go ahead and try both sizes just out of curiosity!

Nancylee - that's the best solution: order a couple of sizes and return one of them. You'll be able to order with more confidence once you get the "feel". :o)

Well, I ordered both a 4 and a 6, and the 6 definitely fit better. The 4 was a bit tight across the back/shoulders. So, in my experience, Ann Taylor runs slightly smaller than AT Loft.....at least in shirts.
