Finally got all the pieces in my order and wanted to get your valuable feedback on what is worthy of a place in my closet.

Excuse the poor quality of the photos; we have bad lighting and I lost my camera in the move so I have to rely on my phone for pictures:(

1) side zip poncho, worn with an AT light gray long sleeve top, BR gray skinnies and SE booties. Trying to figure the best way to roll my jeans with the boots and hoping it looks fine not rolled.

2) ink blue vest with leather pockets. This is a little awkward feeling on but I think it has potential. Seems like it would work with a skirt or over a dress but I don't wear dresses and skirts often. Shown with the same long sleeve shirt and then with a long tunic type white blouse.

3) ordered this drape neck dress on impulse as I love drape neck styles and thought this could easily work year round for me with different toppers etc, but I'm thinking it looks a little short and the waist is a little high. I wish it didn't have a waist:(

4) leather trim T-shirt in gray worn with the vest in 2. I quite like this and think it will be a wardrobe staple, or essential!

Honest feedback needed and welcome.

the poncho, vest and tshirt look fab! i agree with what you see in the dress--you got so many other fab items.

Agree with you, and bj1111. I like the poncho, vest (yay, as one is on it's way to me too!) and tee. But the dress... eh.

And I think the vest is great worn as is... don't worry about not wearing skirts and dresses often!

Wow, you look great! The poncho and vest look fab. On me, the vest just emphasizes my IT shoulders, but I kept it anyway since it's so well-made and warm. I think your jeans look fine unrolled.

The t-shirt looks like it fits well, but are the elbow patches a little high on your arm? It's hard to tell from the pic.

Loved that sale, and you scored some great items. This navy/ink blue is a beautiful color on you!

Love everything but the dress! The poncho is awesome! The vest looks like a great layering piece and the tee is a nice basic. I think your analysis of the dress is spot on.

Carole, thank you so much for posting! You spared me some regrets of no ordering the ink vest: from your picture I can see that it would be too short for me.
I hate to be a spanner but I don't think anything is 10 here - except maybe a poncho. You have 2 pictures of it and in one it looks shorter than in the other. So if the real length is like in the right picture it is good but if the length is like in the left picture - too short!
I think the ink vest is on the border of being too short - if it was me I would not keep it at this length but it may be different for you.
I am also afraid that the tee is a bit short but again it is my preference. I know that at htis length it would be bothering me and will become an orphan at some point.
So here you go but mind you that length is a BIG issue for me and I am really sensitive to it.

Kristen, thanks for your opinion, I felt the same about the vest with my IT shape but it's that oversize shape that seems to work anyway-at least it doesn't swallow me up as it would perhaps on someone narrow in the shoulders and super petite. I wondered too about the patches, they are a little high on my super long arms, but I really love it so not sure if that's a deal breaker:|

Love the poncho. The dress seems too short, yes. The others are good, not as fab as the poncho to my eye but depends on your needs. Fun haul

Sveta, thanks for your honest assessment. I have never felt I needed talls for anything but pants/jeans or sometimes a coat, but maybe I've been missing out all along on a proper fit. Some brands are a better fit for my body type, so perhaps AT is not suited to me.

Angie, thanks for approving the poncho. The vest I tried in the store in a large size and it was WAY to big, the top part crossed over in a really strange and large way. Perhaps talls would be better, but not sure I want to bother, not sure it's worth it. The shirt is a large and I could try to exchange for a Tall.

I defer to Angie and all of the other pros here on the other items, but I have to say I really adore that poncho on you. Love it. I had it in my cart too, and seeing it I wish I would've ordered it (as another tall IT/rectangle) but I'm trying hard to not shop for my fantasy climate! And I hear your pain on the fit of dresses...it's one of my biggest frustrations. But that color does look great on you, so I hope you have it your wardrobe in other places!

Hmmmm. That's odd, Caroal. The cardi is not supposed to crossover in front. Are you sure it was a L and not an XL? A Tall in the shirt is a great idea. xo

Angie, it was a large, unless it was mismarked...definitely the wrong fit so I thought the Medium was the way it was supposed to fit, it doesn't feel too small ..do you think the medium looks too small and/or too short? And the T is it because of the elbow patches I need a large or does it look too short, too?

Shemarie-thanks for the thumbs up on the poncho! Nice to know we are IT sisters, I'd love to see this on you, as well. Not sure what your climate is but I was able to wear the poncho under a trench coat, if that helps. Our falls, winters and springs are very wet so being able to layer over it is important!

I've seen the cardi on many bodies Carole, and it looks best when it floats away from the body completely - to my eye anyway. It doesn't quite float away suffieciently from the body at the back. FWIW, that's my perception in the pics.

Did you try an XL regular in the tee by any chance? It does look a little short.

Angie, I see what you are saying about the cardi. Perhaps this one just doesn't work for my body:( That's ok but it would have been fun to have a "Statement" sweater like this to play with. The tshirt would likely be way to big under the arms as this one already seemed a little big. I'm thinking Ann Taylor just isn't the best brand for me. I'm much happier and easy to fit at Banana Republic. I think I will just keep the poncho, and return the rest! Thanks so much for helping me learn from this order!

Carole, sorry to spoil your fun. But don't be put off by AT just yet. Inge is your height and a similar size, and she did VERY well there this season. I tend to find a better fit with BR for my own body type so high five - but we never leave a retail stone unturned. If you like something - try it. You never know whether the retailer has adjusted their fits for the season.

Thanks, Angie! I really love each piece you posted...maybe there is hope after all...that long vest is very special and the two sweaters are gorgeous, too. Carole, I can vote for the tunic shirt - excellent length for us tall gals. I am still mourning the fact that I cannot order the ink version from US AT site
I see that sleeveless jacket came back in stock - it was out.I would love to get that one!

I'm having trouble with the poncho length-- perhaps I don't know how they are to fit, short vs more drapey. I prefer the vest! The T shirt style looks really good on you-- agree would like more length or somehow more fluid.

Having just returned about 12 items to AT and ordered new ones, I have to call some of my orders retail research and be strong to return. I'm pretty sure they hate to see me coming. Stiluff comes online and in sale before it hits the store. I'm learning the pattern and have really made an effort to try as many things in- store as I can, since that eliminates a large %, but if I like I can wait for the next sale to hit.
I sympathize on sizes - I will sometimes want petite sizes up, for boxy or find myself dithering between 2 sizes for roominess or pant vs skirt proportions.

Carole, the tunic is regular, I don't think it comes in tall but it is a good length for me - see the picture.

Love the poncho! I defer to others about the fit of the tee, but will mention that the jeans you are wearing in #4 look fantastic on you!

Unfrumped-thanks for adding in your comments...I'm thinking that the best scenario for me would have been to order Talls but I don't think all these pieces come in tall... And I'm not that excited now to try it all over...I guess I don't like to work that hard to get things right. Am I lazy? I don't think the poncho is an oversized flowing fit to begin with so perhaps this is ok...do I love it... I'm not sure...was hoping to add a statement piece and had hoped this or the ink vest would be "it". To tell you the truth, when I tried this stuff on in the store after I ordered it, it thought they were both good fits, didn't even occur to me that the Tshirts were too short...I guess I have a lot to learn, still!

Sveta, that's a fantastic fit! LOVE it. I just wore a similar tunic I bought from AT loft...I need to post that....it doesn't look nearly as lovely as yours!

Why thanks, Shevia! The jeans are BR gray skinnies, but they seem more like straight legs to me...I am loving this updated color and they feel dressier than my stand by skinny denim!
