Ankle Pants Fit help

I found these fab Faconnable all season charcoal wool cuffed ankle pants at the Rack. I'd like to have some pants for work. Do they work? (pun intended) The waist is a tiny bit snug but I'd probably not tuck and wear jackets with them.

I tried to get all views, but my assistant snuck into the rear one to obscure (probably not a bad thing). She's behind me in the others. PSA: I am not wearing proper Pant undergarments, but am more concerned with length and overall cut and fit. (In case you can't tell they aren't styled except these cute wedge shoes I found at TJ Maxx seemed to be a good match)

Wow, those are fab! I love how tapered they are at the ankle. I think they definitely work--especially with those fab wedge heels : )

Ca-yoot! Those look like they fit well and are super-modern. Lurve the shoes! Are they comfy? The semi tuck and the heels mean you are ticking all the *short pants* boxes. But you wouldn't have to tuck all the way, taking up your precious waist space, lol! I think I love them! You must have longs legs to start out with because these look so good.

I love these, but I'm a big fan of ankle length pants. These are awesome in my opinion and I love the half tucked look. Also looks great with the wedges. Good find!
I wonder if your assistant is as "helpful" as mine are?

Of course, I am not an expert on ankle length pants, but I think with the wedges (love 'em) and the fitted style, that they do indeed work. Love #3 - adorable ; ).

These look great! They remind of me of those j. crew pants that I was lusting after a while back. I'm terrible about ankle length, and haven't gotten it right yet. These look good to me and extremely flattering. WTG!

I love how the YLF children and pets are always trying to sneak into the shots! They look like beautiful pants to me, but I'm the last one to ask when it comes to pant lengths.

Am so jealous - the pants don't seem to have that 'cut off' effect on you at all - you look fab I am no expert but I wonder if you should hem them.. maybe 1/2 inch ...

I wasn't expecting to like them, but then saw the pictures and wow! I think they are super flattering and make your legs look super long! I want some!

I like them, especially with those pumps. I would be leery of getting pants that are a little snug in the waist, though. That problem only seems to worsen as a day drags on, in my experience. Can the button be moved over, or is there a seam in the center back of the waistband that could be let out just a tad? (Often in a well-made pant like this brand, there is one.)

Firecracker I will check that for sure - I do have a Nordstrom alterations budget and this would be worth using some of that on.

I love them and I'm short and I still wear them. Those pants looks great on you especially with those shoes.

I like the look from the front. Great fit around the hip and crotch area! But I am not as fond of the side view. They don't seem tapered enough to my eye.

I see what you mean Angie. I'm trying on again with some better undergarments and will see what I think. I could just claim I'm a front girl like you Who cares about the side and back (as long as I have my little back cover along)

Well I certainly will try them with booties now. ankle or above? I'm really not doing well with my pant and bootie combinations yet. too many gaps to think about. Should the booties be long enough under the pants?

Well I like them a lot and you can't beat the back view as presented in picture #3!
