Uniqlo stretch puffies per @approprio. Just tried them on. I love them but I got a north face one early last year and I just can’t see buying another less warm puffer.
I should look at Uniqlo, LL Bean and Lands End more closely, altho in the past they have tended to be a bit shapeless on me.
You will all also think I’m crazy, but when I say ankle length, I mean ankle length. Way past the knees. I had a couple of coats like that, very very close fitting and they were the best ever. But that was awhile ago, and no longer a thing in stores here...
All the puffy skirts I have seen are short. I have never seen a long one. I would love a long one. What about puffy pants? I have seen little kids wear them. Do they have them for adults? I want some.
The best and warmest puffy’s are the long shapeless sleeping bag puffys from LLBean or Landsend. Eddie Bauer is another good source. I purchased one from Canada Goose last year but it was pricey! The three catalog companies carry them at great prices and quality. I have always lived in cold snowy states.
I wish you luck! After all in the USA there are so many different climates that surely there is a brand that produces ankle-length puffers.
I have been looking hi and lo for an ankle-lenght puffer for the past 6/7 years! No way. Finally last year, miraculously, I spotted one in a shop window. Max Mara. Very expensive. I bought it immediately, no matter what! I agree that ankle-length coats/puffers are the best in freezing temperatures.
Check out Calvin Klein. I got mine at Macys a couple of year ago and it was a decent price. It's not super puffy and does have waist definition. I have also seen them at various Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores but of that's pretty hit and miss.
Style Fan there is a Swedish company that makes puffy skirts in a variety of lengths: https://skhoop.ca/collections/fall-2017 (posting the Canadian link for you, but they have a US website too). They're longest down one is 34" long. They offer versions with synthetic insulation too.
Rachy, Staysfit named the three companies I thought of first for maxi parkas: Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, and Lands End. You might also check North Face -- they tend to run a bit slimmer than the other three, and they usually have a down maxi coat.
Maybe I should start a fund for a Canada Goose or Max Mara! Haven’t checked out North Face yet... haven’t had a North Face in a long time; I think of them as camping gear...
Ok, I will have to try Eddie Bauer, since it’s gotten many mentions... and now from you, Angie! I confess to always taking a pass on Eddie Bauer for image reasons. Like, I don’t understand why there was an Eddie Bauer edition of truck... There used to be an Eddie Bauer store in town, but it’s gone now. I wonder where EB is sold now... ?
