So the booties I settled on a couple of months ago have turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Somehow they always make my feet hurt, even though they have quite a low heel, and they do not keep the rain out at all! As a result I am still looking for some decent low-heeled booties.
I tried these on yesterday in the store and they do seem pretty comfy, if a half size too big, and fit reasonably close to the ankle (no flowerpots for me!). It would be better if they were smooth leather rather than suede but I can cope with that -- they are only £26, after all! Not quite in the "disposable" range for me but definitely affordable. But do they look granny-ish or otherwise frumpy? Imagine them worn with jeans and possibly pencil skirts.
