And sadly, they just didn't work. The heel was fine, and they felt very comfy except for the strap around the arch of my foot. It was squeezing my little foot bones and was almost excruciatingly painful.
Back to the drawing board I go!

I saw a pair of Franco Sarto booties at Nordstrom Rack (they look a bit like the aerosoles you posted) I'm tempted, but trying to resist.

These are pretty cute though (and I can do a higher heel if its a wedge)

I tried three flats recommended in Angie's blog post.

* SW - gappy around the ankle...but otherwise comfortable
* Bandolino - perhaps a hair small...unsure of the Pilgrim buckle...liked the arch support
* Ivanka Trump - super flat - like slippers...but very comfortable and stretchy around the trim, so unlike most calf-hair flats, they have a little give, and I'm hoping they won't bit into the top of my foot like the Jessica Simpson ones I got last year and wore once.
