Had to go pick up some tailoring and decided to take advantage of a bit of time to myself and peruse the stores - with no buying in mind or allowed. I wanted to follow Angie's advice from her 20 tips blog post and go see what's in the stores, what's coming in for spring, try on a few things and get a handle on what I'm really looking for. I've done up a spring wish list but maybe something else will come along that kicks something else off the list.

I went to Winner's and found they had all the winter stuff on clearance - it was quite a mess in the store unfortunately. But I did notice nice bright colours in tops and cropped pants, beautiful bright leather handbags. There were items by Tahari, Calvin Klein, Bebe, and Maggy London - nice to see some better brands in the store. The shoe selection was absolutely pitiful. There was nothing there that even beckoned me try it on, so away I went.

Then I popped into Danier Leather. Such beautiful, bright colours for spring! I tried on Inge/Suz/Sveta's white leather jacket - very lovely and a decent fit, but not perfect. I did not care for the shade of green it comes on - the wrong green for me. I tried on a red jacket and it was just kind of "meh". I even tried on the long, drapey, cascading cardigan with leather sleeves - I actually really liked it but way too long on short me. And then I tried on this http://www.danier.com/leather-.....colour=722|979797&mc=yes. Loved it! Unfortunately I didn't have my phone or camera with me so can't show you with it on me. It's slightly snug when done up, but nothing to worry about IMO. It's a classic moto style in black and white - my favourite style in my favourite colour combination. But I came home without it.

I want to try on the floral moto at Club Monaco before making any decisions. But I gotta say, my heart is holding a spot for the black and white beauty
