Hi everyone:

Posting this in case it helps. I'm in the "filling holes" leg of my style journey--and highly practical holes, at that. I've been buying for a fantasy life and need to move to Team Wear. Sorry this is so brief, but I managed to write a lengthy post and delete it while navigating away to check on an item (insert nails on chalkboard here). Here's what I bought and recommend highly; I believe all are Angie's Top Picks:

1) Hinge denim skirt. Oh. My. Goodness. Uber-flattering. Sits at my waist in a small (5'4", 122 lbs). Will dress up and down; expect to be workhorse.

2) Ecco booties in gray. CRAZY comfortable for my medium volume, almost-wide feet. Adding gray for low contrast with white and blue denim; rounding out a luggage tan and black bootie capsule. Plan to wear with gray opaque tights in winter with Hinge skirt.

3) Classiques E. leather trim black pants: bought for DD. She is exactly one size larger than I with same fit, so I bought these for her with some degree of confidence. The uber-flattering fit potential is very promising. Question for forum: These say "dry clean," with a poly-blend synthetic fabric that feels like scuba or neoprene, but would you risk washing? The leather trim is super, super tiny.

I must say, I felt guilty watching all the bewildered faces wander the floor aimlessly while I went straight to my utility finds in every size bc no one paid attention to the humble workhorses. Enjoying fasion while living as a responsible consumer means NOT wasting by intentionally purchasing what you need, yes? That is what YLF is allowing me to do!
