Thanks for all the suggestions and reassurances! I feel much better abou this now. I had historically wanted to dress so I *didn't* look like anyone else but myself, so it is a new thing for me to worry about fitting in.
To answer some questions:
- Kalli, I work at the Westside Pavillion! Triple points for our store are coming up next week.
- No, we don't wear name tags. We have fitting room keys to identify us, but then we also approach the customers and offer help, so recognition isn't a problem. I just wouldn't want anyone to be put off and turn me down in favor of someone else.
- Hm, I'm torn on #4 now that it is an Angie fave. I know I won't shorten the sleeves, because that is my preferred sleeve length (It bugs me when sleeves ride up as I move around). We'll see.
- Diana, all of these are very soft and thin. I don't have any truly outdoor only ones... for that I prefer coats!
- I had dismissed the idea of layering a top under, but I may try it with a button-front! If I see a mesh top, I love that idea, too.
*Side note: I'm SO very glad I figured out my heels can go to work! I think the slim-ankled, heeled boots are what made this click for me. Weighty enough to handle the leather, yet the ankle and high heels makes them much more dressy/refined than my engineer boots.
