This arrived today. I am anxious to see what y'all think. I have one problem with it. Where the waist and bodice come together its hard to zip. There is plenty of room. It is just hard to zip. All comments are welcome.

It looks lovely on you Debbie! Do you think the zipper is badly made? Not sure what to suggest about that, but I hope you will keep the dress or get an exact replacement.

That is a great little summer dress at a good length. I wonder if the zipper is defective. You might want to get another replacement dress and send this one back if the zipper keeps sticking.

You look good in it. I've heard beeswax can make zippers glide easier, but look into a replacement first.

I know this Debbie! It's certainly because there is a lot of fabric there at the joint of the top part with the skirt, so I'm afraid this will not be much better on an exchanged dress, either. You'll have to hold close the 2 parts of the dess with a hand exactly where the zipper stucks (even a bit higher with 1-2") and then will hopefully work. (or will have to ask for help, from a family member:-)),
But, the dress is beautifull fits you like a glove!

Debbie it is stunning g on you. One trick you could try before returning is soap. Run a cake of soap up and down the zipper and see of it runs better. Then wipe the zip of any flakes. Some times this is all it takes:)

Killer Gorgeous! You can add a red skinny belt if you like.

I will echo what Lyn67 said - I have had many dresses where the zipper has to pass the waist/bodice seam and they are always difficult at that part. I guess I wouldn't hurt to exchange in case it really is a defect, but I'm not terribly hopeful about that. The things I've done are:

1. struggle and curse until I'm either exhausted or I get the zipper up
2. reach back and pinch together when I'm zipping past that point (which may or may not involve cursing)
3. See if I can wiggle into it with the zipper undone only to the point just above that seam

ETA - It's a gorgeous dress and looks great on you! Wonderful Spring/Summer look. Breezy and pretty.

It looks great, Debbie! I sympathize about the zipper issue - I have several dresses with this problem. I think it's a combination of the waist seam and the fact that dress makers tend to use crummy zippers that pucker too much going over the seam. I don't think a different one will be better. Try some candle wax, if that does not work, usually if you pull the zipper band up taut (so it doesn't pucker at the seam) and zip it's easier (this works better if you have a helper).

I tried the dress on again tonight. I am going to keep it. I will probably be frustrated every time I put it on but it. will be worth it because I love the dress.
Angie I will try the lace bomber with it and I also have the Derek Lam for Kohls coming. Thanks so much Angie for recomending this dress.

Love the dress, glad you are keeping.
Like Lyn67 said, I think the zipper problem is the way the dress is made not the zipper. This is how I deal with the same issue.

Grasp the dress just below the zipper at the sticking point and pull down.
With the other hand grasp the zipper pull and push in as you pull up.
This always works for me. You pull the fabric tight and the zipper with not be as stressed.

Gorgeous dress and it looks very good on you! Trying rubbing a candle on the zipper like a crayon for it to work. I also agree with Angie on the red skinny belt or red shoes!

This dress is so lovely on you, I'd struggle with the zip and keep it. You might try exchanging it, although I find zippers are often batch problems.
