I am an immigration lawyer and have worked from home for the past 20 years. I live in a climate with cold winters. So I really can wear whatever I want to and I dress for myself. I have a mostly-white dog (PBGV) who sheds a lot, and his hair probably comprises 1% of all my outfits My default look for most of the year is a sweater, jeans and boots, but I try to make it as interesting as possible.

I love blazers and jackets, because I find that they add 'presence' in a way that sweaters do not, but am more likely to wear them if I have a board meeting or something like that.

I have many acquaintances who only see me in exercise gear, and then they are surprised if they run into me somewhere else and I have on red metallic boots or some such thing. So I thought I'd post some gear shots this week too -- assuming I follow through with this challenge properly -- though it's not a sartorial preference as such, it is authentically me since I wear and am seen in it.
