Her rule: shop everywhere. I have to confess, this is a hard rule for me to follow, having ruled out many, many stores over the years as "not for me, not my demographic."
I've been looking for, oh, a year+ for the perfect Chambray shirt. Found it yesterday, at American Eagle, a place I never, ever shop for myself, given that I am not 13. I did feel weird, like the world's most elderly teen, but I got over it. Yes, there is a logo, but it is tiny, the same color as the shirt, and just above the hem on the left seam. I can deal with it.
Love the heavy weight, the pocket are small and high and minimize my boobage, and the junior-y shorter length and back darts are perfect for my short torso self.
