Hi Angie,

First I just want to say I love your blog and forum but don't get many chances to post because I often read when I need a break from work and our security settings won't let us posts on blogs like this. So unfortunately you won't hear from me often.

I did want to say though that I don't think shortening the heels of shoes would be expensive. I wear out the plastic caps on the heels of my pumps and boots all the time. When I take them to the cobbler often times the heels are uneven because the way I walk I wear out the outer side of the heel before the inner. Every cobbler I've been to evens the heels before they replace the caps. Most don't charge for the evening of the heels but the most I've ever been charge is $4 for that additional service (the replacing of the caps runs between $8 and $12). So I know it can be done....but I'm not sure about taking several inches off. The most I've ever done was about 1/2 an inch.

Just wanted to share!
