It arrived yesterday as I was getting ready to leave the house. I popped it on for some quick photos, so ignore lack of makeup. I ordered it in a 6 and and 8 and the sizes were pretty close, but I think the 8 is just too big in the shoulders. These pics are the 6. I probably would wear it open the vast majority of the time (I tend to only button blazers when I'm putting on a coat over them, and then I unbutton when I arrive at my destination and take off my coat).

It appears much more fitted on me than on the model in the photo, especially in the back view. I post the picture of my rear view with much trepidation. The jacket is buttoned up in that -- maybe unbuttoned it doesn't flare out quite so much at my hips?

I also ordered those black pants Angie mentioned, but I spied in Nordstrom Rack last week a similar pair, also by Bobeau, that does not have the elastic ankle -- the hem falls to the tops of my booties (and could also be rolled for a slight cropped effect). That silhouette actually appeals to me more because I'm always sensitive about the "ice-cream-cone" syndrome that emphasizes the contrast between my slim ankles and my not-so-slim hips.

I'm curious to know what you all think. My hubs walked in on me while I was trying it on and exclaimed "cool jacket!"

Since I have an unexpected day off (impending snow storm), I may experiment with some stylings of both pieces later on and take some more pics.

Honest opinions, please!
