Have you seen this Banana Republicpink leather moto in person?

Would an XL fit me? According to their size chart I'm about an inch too big in the chest. I haven't been in Banana Republic in ages.
I was going to wear one of my older leather jackets today, but they were all too tight, especially in the arms,

I didn't need to see that. LOL I'm wearing a fake leather blush moto and I sweat like a pig every time and swear I won't wear it again, and then do.

Curious to Angie's answer on fit. I'm guessing I'm 1-2 sizes bigger than you at this point bc I've gained weight, too, and noticed most of my blazers don't fit too well anymore.

How strict are you about jackets being able to close with ease, Anna? I find that motos, maybe because of the extra fabric from the asymmetrical overlap, seem to be worn open most of the time. I have a cream leather moto jacket, and I don't think I've ever worn it zipped. If the weather is chilly or breezy, I just drape a scarf around my neck and feel covered enough. Great jacket. I hope it works for you.

I hope it works too. And I think the need to close it is the key question, as Tulle noted. I so rarely wear this kind of jacket fully closed ...

I don't know, but I was pleasantly shocked by how well a button down I bought last year fit my currently oversized bust. So it makes me think it's worth a try.

I saw it downtown. Tried on the XL, fit in sleeves was good over a sweatshirt. I could zip it up.
The color is nice on me, but it's a lot peachier in real life. I was looking for pink. Plus the way the scales are carved out of the leather, I'm not sure they last long. I could see them pulling up a bit at the shoulder seam & could see them looking ratty really fast if you use any kind of shoulder strap bag

Too bad the jacket wasn't what you wanted. The good news is that it fit comfortably. You might find some other BR items that could work for you. I know BR is typically more conservative but you might find a few items you could wear with your existing wardrobe that would add some interest.

Anna, I just saw a store-label Neimann Marcus blush leather moto on their website--less than $400 and free shipping. No unusual texture like the BR jacket, but really pretty gold hardware, and available in XL.
