Angie on the radio

Angie, is the article in question (fashion v style) on the website? I would love to read it. I also thought you provided much needed structure to the programme as the interviewers appeared to be a little bamboozled by the subject matter. You make such an articulate and fun guest.

Thanks for the revised link, Vani! I downloaded the file and listened to part of it as I got ready for work and must agree that Angie was by far the highlight of that segment! Can't wait to hear the rest of it. Angie, you present your strong opinions with such tact and gentleness, it's really quite impressive! And your accent is so gorgeous.

I was a bit surprised when I first met Angie--she sounded exactly like how I heard her voice in my head! Lively, bubbly, and ladylike.

And I always thought I was wrong for imagining her with a British accent because I knew she is Dutch, but I was right about that too! Uncanny.

Thank you for posting this Anne! And it was so much fun to hear your voice again, Angie. I love myself a British accent and you always sound absolutely delightful. I'm impressed with how astute and intelligent your answers were too.

I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep track of what you want to say, when you are interrupted regularly, two or more questions are mixed into one, the presenters are a tiny bit clueless at times and it's all happening over the phone (always more difficult in itself). Respect!!

Here's something weird- Angie's accent in no way registered as British with me! I'm thinking this is either because a) I'm getting so good at hearing the regional differences that it didn't seem to me like a "british" British accent, or b) they're so normal to me that I don't even hear them anymore.

I think it's the latter- I've gotten rubbish with hearing people lately. I'm forever having to ask Andrew "Where is this person from" when we're listening to the radio/watching TV!

Ele - Angie's voice sounds more british to me than anything else - but yet not quite british - sort of with an exotic edge!
