It's been great to check in to the forum today and see all the challenge outfits, and learn about folks. Wonderful variety, and very inspiring.
I feel as though my style is still in transition after moving from Seattle to a small southern town 3 years ago. I gave up an office job of 20 years to be an artist part-time and a homemaker the rest of the time. The climate difference is massive, going from the endless cool grey of the northwest to a sunny, hot and incredibly humid place with a very short and mild winter.
Transforming from a dressier, layered, urban style to a casual, less layered and more rural style has been a drastic change and is not fully resolved. On top of that, I feel an urge to be more creative, free-spirited, and add a little edge to my outfits. I'm not really there yet, especially the edge part, but it's a fun process.
In spite of being in between old and new lives, I feel quite "me" in my recent defaults which are jeans, flat booties, and fluid tops with dangly earrings, necklaces, and crossbody bags. (Never reallly felt like myself in the office!) Many of my items are second-hand. I do domestic and artsy things that are messy, and don't see a lot of people during the day, so stay on the very casual side.
I won't be able to get a post out every day this week so here are two outfits. One is from today and one from this weekend. The earrings don't show in the second photo so I added as close-up.
Thank you for looking.
