You'll find that we normally see these and remove them. In some cases they are real spammers, and in others it is a legitimate member just getting a little too zealous about promoting their business or their employer. Obviously we treat these cases differently.
You don't want to know how much spam we head off at the pass before you even see it. It's like a plague on the Internet. Fortunately there are some good automated tools that deal with most of it.
