Angie’s white jeans...size help?

Howdy everyone! I have been searching for white jeans for 2 years in an effort to replace old Kuts which are yellowing and feel out of date.
I found new Kuts at a local boutique but I think they are too sausage-y and may go back. They are skinnies which would work for more casual occasions.
Taking Angie’s lead, I ordered her AT white jeans in two sizes. They are wonderful!! I can see these as filling a hole for casual work wear .After taking the photos, I think the larger one probably looks better, being white and all. The smaller one feels better like my blue jeans fit....
Any thoughts on the sizing?
I also ordered in tall size, is length ok or too long? I’ll mostly be wearing in warmer weather.

You made me smile re “too sausage-y”. I actually think #1 are the best fit for you. The other two imo are too big.

They both look good to me. With white jeans I would tend to err on the larger size. Regarding length, I don't know. I still can't figure out cropped lengths.

I would choose #2. I bought the same jeans and ended up keeping the looser fit because I thought the jeans just looked better that way. Plus, I already own some white skinnies.

BTW, have you tried getting the yellow out of your old jeans?

Length wise, I shoot for around 2" above my ankle because I think that's short enough so it looks intentional (not like high waters) but not so short that they look like capri's. That number may be different for you. I came to it by folding jeans and looking at myself in a mirror until I was satisfied. It helped to wear the shoe style I would most commonly wear with those type of pants. For example, I wore my gold sandals when testing the length on the AT jeans because those are the shoes I'll probably wear with those jeans.

i like #2 on you the best, its the most flattering to my eye, but I am no expert and of course you need to be comfy
(btw, I bought the same jeans, in the regular length, and i was surprised how much shorter they were than they appeared on the model)

Thanks ladies! I agree #2 seems like a smoother fit from the front. They probably need a dart in at the back waist or a belt. The tighter ones fit my waist nicely, but the tighter hips and bottom are not as attractive. I am not brave enough to post pics of the backsides:)
I agree they look long and loose fitting on the model.

I like #2 on you the best. You have a great figure but I personally am more comfortable when my white jeans are a little less form-fitting. I am planning on trying those AT ones on next time I get to a mall...they look fab PLUS they’re Angie-recommended! I like the length on you too, but it seems everything goes these days so I can’t really tell what doesn’t work...might depend on your shoes.

Kikidee I have the same problem with pants (if waist fits, jeans are too tight on behind).

I would get the larger size of the ATs and put a dart. I find belts look a little sloppy if they are actually used to hold in the waist band. These jeans look great. I think the looser ankle fit is much trendier than the super skinny fit of the first pair.

Returning Kuts today.
The smaller AT feel like they fit as is. I’m obsessing that the larger ones are looser on the back of the leg, but in the photos they look the same to me, just larger in waist and maybe rise.
In reality I’ll be wearing with longer blouses or cardigans anyway so I’m probably obsessing for naught. I’m sure there’s some body image thing also involved.
Both are comfy/ stretchy.
Belted ones are larger size:)

Hmmm...well, the non-belted looks fine! They look the same as the belted, to me, from the back.

Go with the smaller AT size if that feels better.

I have a bad habit of ordering the larger size of jeans and then realizing after an hour of wearing them, maybe I should have sized down. So I'm going to say maybe go with the smaller size this time.

I like how the larger size fits but I’m no expert on the stretching-out problem.
I tried these but needed to size up more so have not re- ordered.
The fit seems a little problematic for me because if you’re a bit curvy as I am, they can be very fitted on the thigh and bigger on the calf so almost start to look like a cropped flare style. If I could get a “ slim straight “ look in the right size, it would be wonderful since the fabric is great, as Angie noted.

I think I’ll keep the smaller AT. It’s hard to guess on the stretching out factor and add in weight fluctuations complicates things too. I can’t go wrong either way with the price of these. I’ll post a WIW as the weather warms up!

Just a thought here - if you got them as cheap as I did why not keep both? I have several pair in 2 sizes depending on how I want to style them.

I did consider keeping both. But after wearing the smaller pair around the house yesterday, they seem to have really loosened up. I fear I won’t wear them enough to justify two pairs. And would like to look for a different cut of white jeans if I’m duplicating the color. I love the look of white boot cuts/flares but they are proving harder to find.

WOW. My AT jeans don't stretch out at all. That's interesting. The smaller pair look good too. KEEP.

All of these look good on you, so here's another thought. For me, white jeans are usually worn at a time of year when heat + humidity + snugness make me want to scream.

YMMV.
