Rocker, boyfriend, and blogger-style. Any thoughts? Still too regular preppy for me? I'm not trying to convince anyone one way or another - this is one of those items I could love (and do right now) or could orphan.

Thanks for posting the various options! Now that I've seen it styled, I'm thinking the cut is not edgy enough to offset the preppy/conservative vibe of the blazer. It needs to be more cheeky or cropped or something... The plaid itself, I like

I like it on you although I see why there might be questions if it is you.

However - if *you* like it, that speaks volumes. If you're still on the fence, then work out what cost per wear would justify it, then see if you will realistically wear it that much before you start doubting if it's a 100% keeper. Not sure if this makes any sense...

Ornella, it does make sense. I'm leaning toward return - the problem is that it fills a huge longtime want (blackwatch plaid blazer) - but I don't think it's perfect on me, too boxy and not edgy enough on it's own. Although I do like it with the leather pants!

Hmmmm...I don't know....it has possibilities. I love the blackwatch pattern on you (nice and moody, you know?) and it does pair beautifully with black. It's the shape that's throwing me off. Your other jackets either have a more interesting shape or drape or some other detail that makes it "you" - this is missing that.

Shannon, I LOVE blackwatch! Have been looking for the right jacket for years. It's preppy but with that moody side, as you've said. Still, I do think it's missing that twist I need... blah!

I liked it yesterday but today I'm taking a closer look, the sleeves look too big. It looks a lot bigger on you than on the model, too bad they only have reg and tall sizes.

Una - what do you think of this one from Target? Still blackwatch tartan and a bit longer and fitted silhouette. I know the quality won't be the same, but still might be worth checking out.

I like it on you. I think it looks quite nice.

HOWEVER, it is definately not UWP. I do not think you can style it to be UWP as it tends to make everything else seem more preppy.

As you are not looking for the preppy vibe, I vote return.

If this blazer were something in your closet you were trying to make work, I think those three combinations (especially the leather skinnies and the boyfriend jeans with slouchy beanie) are great.

But ... since this is a new item, I think you should keep looking for something that mixes the plaid with a bit more edge.

I love the plaid and the dark colors for you.

But I think the cut is too boxy, whether or not you call that a preppy thing.

I would pass but expect other good things to come along.
