Just trying to figure out why some things work and some don't. I have a drawer full of scarves, but wear only two or three even though the colors are perfect and necklines almost the same on the tops, some work and some don't. Here is the reason-since I have a short neck, some are too wide and bunch up more, some heavier fabric (even slightly thicker fabric makes a difference) so look bulkier, especially from the back.

Another thing is ankle straps and gladiator shoes and sandals. They look fine with ankle pants, BF jeans rolled just an inch or so above the top strap of the shoe, but just not right with more leg showing. Reason is I have slightly bowed legs. You may know the type, where outside curve of calf is bigger than the inside curve. My sister used to call them undefined calf muscles--even though I have strong legs, they just don't look like it.

This type analysis is going to be a big help in packing for trips when one does a capsule, and eliminates that -why things look great when I lay them out on the bed, and then, even though all have been worn before , do not look right when one gets dressed in the hotel room.

Last summer I took my pewter gladiator sandals, that are comfy and I love them. Looked great with the white skinnies, and the BF jeans, but with the just below the knee capris did not. Made my legs look funny!
