Ana-the new J. Crew arrivals!

Kyle, I saw the striped pleated ruffle shirt the other day and it is really amazing. Wonder what the dry cleaner might do to those ruffles in the laundry?! It's definitely on my list when/if it goes on sale.

And there's a black dress that has short sleeves and is A line, and has the same collar as the blouse above. It's light flannel wool--perfect for our warm winters! I have to agree with JJ as well - that sleeveless Victoria ruffle shirt is great too. In fact the saleswoman told me they were flying off the shelves on Friday (in ivory in particular). It's an amazing layering piece.

The Elizabeth halter was back ordered and then sold out last holiday season. I think the same will happen with this Victoria blouse too. I have the Elizabeth halter in ivory already, so I was thinking I'd like to go for a color with the Victoria blouse, but one I can still layer or make look great on its own. The golden olive would look really sharp under a cream, black, citron, or my tomato red cardigan, but also on its own, so I'm really hoping it works with my coloring.

Wow, I really like all of their new ruffly blouses and some cashmere sweaters, but I probably won't be buying anything any time soon. I went back to my ballroom dancing and am saving up for new dance shoes, as well as private lessons.

I am drooling too. I like the long sleeve version of the ruffly blouse. And Kyle, I have the wool pencil skirt in plain black and it is absolutely awesome. I really want to buy another one if they go on sale. I'm wearing it every week. I'm also partial to the polka dot flats.

I also have to share that it is so much fun going shopping with Ana (this is probably obvious). She was positively squealing with delight in the dressing room over the ruffle neck shift.

Tanya! I'm so happy you're back to your dancing. Is that why you haven't been on as much? I know you only have so much extra time with your project and school. I'm glad you're spending it doing something you love (I thought maybe your advisor had just come down really hard on you or something).

LOL, Patience. It's true! I was just so excited to find a true A-line dress that came to my knees! I have been looking literally for months, and haven't come up with a thing. And it had ruffles on top of everything! It's like J. Crew can read my mind, heh. The only change I would make is I wish it weren't black (I have a hard time figuring out how to make a black dress look interesting-yet-casual), but I'll take what I can get. I think I might layer my tomato red cardi over it. Not sure about shoes yet. I'm so excited, I'm doing my happy dance.

Laura, I will definitely be getting it soon, probably in the next month or so, I think. I will report on the color (I'll have to order it, as I haven't seen that color in the stores).

Ana, you are basically right! Last week has been hectic, both due to dancing practices and me deciding to step up my work schedule a notch. I am so glad I decided to go back, I need some exercise and a fun outlet. With my BF not living here anymore I realized that I had a bit of spare time to do something fun, and is what I like the most.

Of course, now I have sore muscles all over, especially in the weird places like my neck and toes. The only downside is that the clothing budget is turning into dancing budget ( it's an extremely expensive sport) so no more shopping for me. But it shouldn't be that hard, since I don't really need anything.
