Zappos has the La Canadienne Taylor boot on sale for $219. I think you mentioned being a size 8 though, and they only have an 8.5 left...but maybe it could work with thick socks?
If not, then no big deal. I just wanted to give you a heads up. A lot of LC styles seem to be on sale at Zappos, probably while they make room for new inventory.
